With the sheer number of sequels, reboots, and revivals unveiling these days, you'd be forgiven for expecting most picture franchises to get an excess installment at several point. Backmost to the Time to come cadaver one of the most famous (and loved) sci-fi trilogies ever, but the films' CO-writer Bob Gale has explained why there won't ever glucinium a fourth part movie.

On The Collider Podcast, he shared his reasoning: "We told a complete story with the trilogy. If we went back and made another one, we'd give Michael J. Fox, World Health Organization will be sixty next year, and helium has Parkinson's Disease."

Gale went connected to say that an older Marty McFly with Parkinson's Disease probably isn't something populate would savor – and added that Back to the Future without Michael J. Fox is unthinkable. He also commented that an extra movie believably wouldn't hold up against the creative, drawing on the much-maligned The Phantom Menace as an example.

"And we've seen this repeatedly with sequels that go aft to the considerably after many an, many an years, and they go 'Ah, recovered, The Fantasm Menace, maybe my life would have been better if I hadn't seen it.' There are a great deal of extra sequels like that," atomic number 2 said.

"We didn't want to comprise those guys World Health Organization did a movie that was basically a money grab. Universal says to US, 'You'd guys would make a whole lot of money,' but we're like, 'Intimately, we've already made a mickle of money with these movies, and we like them just the way they are. And as proud parents, we're not going to deal out our kids into whoredom.'"

Plus, as Gale explained, on that point's an extra speed break: "We have an intellect with [Steven] Spielberg and Amblin that there would never be another Binding to the Future movie without our blessing or being involved. So it's not going to happen."

A much As some of us might want to see the DeLorean raceway into action once more, Gale's argument is jolly much rock-solid. Luckily, we'll always have the Back to the Future trilogy to binge-watch – and you can enter our competition to win the 4K box set right here.
